SPCast Control Panel

Instead of relying on third-party software, we build and maintain our own control panel called SPCast.

Manage streams, mountpoints, and broadcast times directly in the browser. Upload audio files, set up rotation schedules, and configure crossfading for 24/7 continuous play (AutoDJ currently in MP3 format). Live presenters connect directly to the AutoDJ without stream interruptions for listeners.

Listener statistics, MP3 and AAC+ transcoders, and stream protection features like IP bans, geo-filtering, and token protection are included.

Proprietary Server Engine

In addition to the control panel, the streaming server itself is an in-house development by STREAMPANEL. The server engine uses an HLS-first architecture for stable audio playback across all end devices and remains fully backward-compatible with SHOUTcast (V1/V2) and Icecast (V2/KH).

Streaming over standard ports 80 and 443 is included in the SPCast standard. Restrictive firewalls in corporate or institutional networks do not block streaming connections.

All available broadcasting software solutions can connect directly (including mAirList, SAM Broadcaster, VirtualDJ, Traktor, Serato, Mixxx, BUTT, OBS Studio, and mobile apps). If a specific software or custom integration is needed, our proprietary engine allows rapid addition.

Listeners can play the stream using the web player on your website, on mobile devices (iOS and Android), smart TVs, or WLAN internet radios.

When is the stream activated after ordering?

Automatic activation of the web radio stream and SPCast access takes place after receipt of payment in the Customer Center.

Where are the data centers located?

The location of the web radio stream can be selected in the Customer Center during order placement. In addition to EU locations, data center regions in the USA and Canada are available. Selected regions carry a surcharge displayed directly in the shopping cart. STREAMPANEL core system environments are located exclusively in the EU.
